They sure can. Look at any of the Excalibur issues with Rachel in them. That's totally a mullet, if a stylized futuristic one.

On women, they're called 'Femullets' ;)

Are there any good superhero MU*s left? I've had a hankering to RP again lately, and I have a great idea. It may not fly with staff overly well, but it's related to Marvel at least. Even if not that, I can always abberate the idea enough to fit as an original character.
