Despite the icon, there is no rage about this tiny bit of comics news. It just makes me depressed. Depressed because I sort-of liked the book as it is now, more depressed because I can't be sad anywhere online other than here about it.

I haven't been able to be excited about Excaliber since Alan Davis stepped down from doing it monthly. I'm sorry you're sorry, though.

I was enjoying it under Claremont too, but I'm assuming that since he's steeping down off Exiles and New Excalibur at the same time that his health problems are still around and either he's moving to slower burning projects or retiring entirely. It's sad and I'm not overjoyed that Claremont's going, but more that he's being replaced by someone I really enjoy. Although I was enjoying Claremont's latest Uncanny X-men run more, Excalibur's been more hit and miss for me.

Sorry, I only know Excaliber from the 90's Alan Davis run. Was that Claremeont writing? That was one of the few Marvel books I actually look fondly back on. The art kicked ass, I liked the writing, and it was completely disconnected to the big X-Metaplot. I'm pretty sure it was when Marvel built the X-Metaplot Railroad into Excaliber that I gave up on it.

And I realize I need a pirate Nightcrawler icon, because Nightcrawler was the shit in that book.

See? Now that icon? Reminds me of Ashton from Star Ocean. Also, in answer to your other question; yes, I've played and beaten the game. I'm the one who gives BigGM tips on it. Actually, BigGM would love an anime based on it.

SO2 Anime mild spoiler

Okay, here's the shorthand: It's good and it's cute, but it only covers the story up to the point where, in the game, Excel would be blown up. It then changes the ending. Naturally, of course, this means we never see Chisato since she didn't show up in the story until Energy Nede.

I can't say I'm unhappy about this. Clairmont's writing has been piss poor these last few years.
