I got a wedding invite in the mail, yesterday. It's for a friend I kept in touch with through high school and college, who went off into the Navy, became really shallow, and is now marrying the little sister of a mutual friend.
Of course, it's the little sister of my best friend, whose wife just had a baby girl last week. The Christening is the middle of November.
I guess I'm happy for people, but it doesn't make me feel any less wretched and worthless.
