Disgaea: Day One

Okay, humor me for a sec here. Just picked up Disgaea yesterday, and it's fun. I like this kind of game, and the characters amuse me. But, early in, like in Chapter 1, is there any sure-fire way to accumulate cash for the army?

It's been going like this since I started: run through a bunch of the boards, where characters get hurt and whatnot. COme back to the Infirmary, heal my characters, and end up spending most of my cash. Any ideas, because I keep ending up back where I started?

I still have no idea what you are talking about, but I say don't get your characters hurt or learn the art of healing. That infirmary sounds like a rip-off!
