Pre-Lunch mind wanderings.
Jan. 27th, 2002 12:09 pmOk, so my friends and I started a new 3rd Ed game last night. There was a good mix of RP and battles, which is pretty much what I expected. Kit runs the RP part of the game, and she does the best quirky NPCs I've seen. John is working the fight scenes, so we all went prepared because John's the best 3E strategist I know of. He knows a lot of the rules minutae and translations, so that makes any fight where he's on the other side very very dangerous.
Picture this: My Halfling Wizard, on his pure-bred husky Riding Dog, riding full tilt back to camp where we heard noises (we were fighting wargs in the woods). Right behind him are 3 summoned Celestial Dogs, all running.
Not to sound too egotistical, but I Rock! I mean, I love that image.
So, after last night, our 3rd level party is closer to 4th. I think the Orcs we fought were all low-level fighters, since their archers had Rapid Shot, for one. SO, we have 1 Halfling Wizard (me), 1 Human Psychic Warrior, 1 Human Fighter, 1 Human Rogue 1/Druid 2, and one Dwarf Druid. Between Mounts, Animal Companions, Familiars, ect, I'm tempted to start calling us the Zoo Crew.
Should be fun.
And, as for the Quest for MUSH, I have friends on places that have been telling me about at least one new modern-day place still in development, and a friend of mine is the Garou Admin there. Well, he is, and will be if/when the place opens. So I'd be in a place where I know the players would be high quality, since I've gamed with them before, and I could see my character fitting in. So, I have time, but there's that part of me that's itching to finish that app...
Right now, I'm watching Back to the future, part 2. I liked this movie, and still do.
And I'm hungry, and Dad made his Pasta Sauce today, and the meatballs are already cooked, and I could use a sandwhich. Ok, lunch, then maybe app, I dunno.
