I'm not even sure I'm going to get this posted today. According to what I saw and my inter-office e-mail, the Internet's down at work, from the Verizon end of it. So, no idea when it will be back up, and while I do have 3 hours til lunch, I hope it's enough time because I want to check my e-mail and stuff. Nose is still stuffy, and I'm feeling a little fuzzy around the edges, and not in the good way.

Since work feels like it's standing still right now, I decded to get some minor things done. Character descs, hammering out ideas, and revising my comic pull list for yon local shop. See, I'll buy tomorrow's books, and won't go back til the day before I take my trip to San Diego next month. 4 Weeks of comic books. I've done this before, but the flights were a lot shorter, and I'm trying not to panic. I'm really trying...

But damn, I real a lot of comic books. Most of the list is off the top of my head. It's huge, but I don't think I'm even complete with the list. I'll check tonight when I get home (or if I go home early. Still feel icky). I won't go through the list here. Too much spam.

Well, I think we're a little under-staffed today, so while time is moving faster right now I'm figuring I'll stay today, unless I pass out or something more appropriately hideous. I've been considering listing the webcomics I read, just to compare and contrast with who reads what. And for the fact that I need some new stuff to read. A lot of the comics I read tend to suffer from what I call 'Sluggy Syndrome.'*

* 'Sluggy Syndrome': Nomenclature inspired by Sluggy Freelance. A condition with webcomics where plotlines in the ongoing strip are told over a series of strips lasting two months or more. This results in frustration on the part of the reader (namely, me) on the glacial pace that the story takes. Satisfaction is achieved by not reading the strip except once every few months in large chunks, to get a sense of completeness and non-dragging.

A little crude, but it's how I feel about that. Some comics, I can read day-to-day, with any arcing plotlines lasting a week or two. Others...take their sweet damn time.

Ick. Okay, there's some smell in the office, like burning plastic. We don't know where it's coming from, since we checked everything around here. It could be from the vents from another part of the building, I'm not sure. But I feel all headachey now, and my sinuses are all shades of fucked up as we speak. People came in for the late shift. Maybe I shall speak with the boss yet again, see what I can manage. Hate going home, though. It's not like I'm buried under work here.

(Stopped there. Time is now 4:22. Went home at 1:30. Still sick. Gah.)

Okay, saw an ad on another Keenspot comic, and decided to check it out. New comic, first strip, and I like what I saw.
