Sep. 21st, 2003 07:16 pmMom had an old B&N gift card that she never used. She gave it to me a few days ago, and I found out there was still money left. See, after 18 months there's a deduction. But, there was plenty, and I picked up two books to read.
The Woad to Wuin - Peter David.
Peter David is my hero. I wish I had the same wit...no, wait, I do. ;) I just started this, and it seems avid is taking pot shots at Lord of the Rings in his first chapter, sequel to Sir Appropos of Nothing. Let's just say, I blushed, big time.
The Hidden Warrior - Lynn Flewelling
Sequel to The Bone Doll's Twin, this is the story of a hidden Queen of Skala, disguised by magic to appear male so the enemies of the crown don't kill...her. Good stuff, I'm sure, but I miss Seregil and Alec so much. :(
