Aaaaaaand the system's down. Everything just came to a screeching halt. Perfect... I seem to be right in thinking it's going to be one of those days. And that last phone call was one of our regular customer's whose voice makes my ears hurt.
What I can think about is that it's New Comic Day, and that the next issue of Ultimate X-Men is out, and after the cliffhanger last issue, and that if this day is any indication, I am going to be Industrial Strength Not Happy when I get my comics. Note to self: Fables is out. Stop at other store and get. At least something will make me smile. Note the second: Five Wednesdays this week, comics will be spread out. Dammit.

Okay. The building manager decided to throw some outside barbecue today. So yay, free food, not so yay, waiting outside in 94 degree humidity waiting for the burgers to cook. So, I will take my lunch a little late, because I've already eaten, and let's face it, these plebes I work with can use the help. Slightly reflective at the moment, mostly because I can mentally see that other shoe right above my head.
The system at work is back up, and we've pretty much bounced back volume-wise. But With the heat, I think it's going to be one of those days where the 3-hour second part of my work day is going to feel like six hours, instead.
