Holding off on writing today, again. But, I've been in a fantastic mood, which is a good thing. It's sunny right now, time is moving...at a decent pace for me, and I'm working out some small financial plans for summertime. Mainly for the car insurance as a preventive measure, so that I am not stressy and crap at the end of August. Easily handled over the weekend, since the bank is close and I might do a laundromat run on Saturday morning. (Granted, I have a washer/dryer at home, but one load at a time is usually too slow for me when I really want to get as much done as possible in a limited timeframe.)
Shirley, one of the people I work with, brought in a new plant. It's...big. Leafy, in this thick blown glass vase. Three feet high, and she has it on top of a 3-foot tall filing cabinet. So, the rest of us have been commenting on it.
Albert: Where did that come from?
Me: No idea, but if it starts talking and asking for human blood, I'm burning it.
Upon which Albert started to speculate the street value of the plant, which involved a lot of other speculations that if either of us were actually serious, would have gotten us fired and/or arrested. O:)
Such is life, no?
