Disruption of the idyllic little world.
Jan. 23rd, 2002 10:00 pmOk, for starters, there was a change of schedules at work today. The people in my dept are put on a rotary schedule, because some of my co-workers are apparently sick and not coming in for a while. Not that we know what's wrong. :P So, I'm on the rotation for next week, working 11-7 Mon-Thurs, and 12-8 Friday. It's for that oen week, then I go back to 10-6, where I've stayed for the last year or so.
Friday is my Gaming Night, so this is problematic.
I did see Pay It Forward last night. Cool, but really sad, and I think the more depressing images of the movie stayed with me at work today, which made me feel like crap once the new schedules hit. I'm starting to let things get to me again. Bah.
So, while I wait for my cousin to get back to me regarding some family gossip she has about a wedding (Ahem ahem, hon, e-mail me now...), I got to thinking about weddings. I mean, they're cool, but I always seem to end up in the same place: Sitting there, done with dancing, eating the chicken (most weddings give you an entree selection. Without fail, I pick the chicken over the beef), and hearing that little voice in my head, the part of me that really knows the truth.
It says: "That will never be you up there, Kyle. You will never know this feeling."
And I wonder why I hate getting up in the morning, sometimes.
Superficial? Me? Well, sometimes.
As for projects I should do, I really need to collect the links for all the webcomics I read in one place, so I don't forget. I like most of them and-
OBEY, PEASANT.
(monotone) And raeofdarkness.keenspace.com is my favorite. I must read it over and over. Raemonde is the coolest person ever to grace our pitiful planet...
Well, there's a nice plug, and I can get back to reality.
Reality. Feh.
