I go to gaming tonight. So, this means I have a limited time to do stuff today, so I got the much-needed laundry done. Work clothes, and stuff to wear outside of work. Mom's going to check Monday for when the people who own this place will have the washer and dryer hooked up. It'll save some money, I'm sure.

Mom said she just got a call saying she owes some ungodly sum for Internet access with Worldnet/AT&t. WHich makes little sense, because she's not on the Net, and I use a different provider. Sigh. Something about this is going to go wrong, I can tell...

Is the house or the number's phone bill in her name? If so, then it's probably the previous resident. Myself, I'd ignore it until a peice of paper hits the door. Could also be a scam. Call the BBB and see if someone is trying this with new moves. Or see if your provider got bought out.

You know the more I think about that, the odder it sounds. I've been behind on bills before, and they NEVER call. They write. They bill. I dunno; has that ever happened to anyone else? It never has to me. Sounds kinda weird. Or maybe fishy.

They'll call eventually; I've gotten calls for someone else (who previously had the number) before, as well as calls when I got briefly behind on credit card payments. (Interestingly enough, I was called the day after I'd already mailed a rather hefty check. I gave them the check number and asked them to let me know if it wasn't received.)

Still, it's usually just a call after repeated mailings; the one call I received for myself was after ... umm, well, a few bills. :) A call is normally not the first contact one receives. That might warrant following up, actually.
