Because I admit to curiousity.

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you haven't been around for long, perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.*
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: 'Ah, there's so and so...'
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.
And also from Talia, I ask 'Please.'

Date: 2007-12-28 02:00 pm (UTC)I have a cat now, but I already know what breed of dog I want to own next :) I've even picked out a name for her.
But seriously, I love dogs. I identify with them, and I always want them in my life. One day I'll be a full-time dog trainer again.

It's not terribly deep, I know.

Date: 2007-12-28 07:11 pm (UTC)I rode less during my last year or two of high school when I no longer had a trainer and wasn't competing; I pretty much stopped when I moved out of town for my first year of college. The horse I'd owned for ten years had to be put to sleep while I was gone. I still blame myself.
After I moved back in-state to finish college I did some riding with my old trainer on her horses, and even competed a little, but I never really got it back. Now it's been years since I was last on a horse. I geek out over things like the Spanish Riding School in Vienna and the flying lead changes in the Lord of the Rings movies, but I think it's probably not likely that I'll ever do much riding again, for financial reasons and general lack of opportunity. Most of the time I don't think about it much, but when I do, I always feel like I've lost something.
