I have a question, first. How do you...see yourself when you're typing in your journals, for those who have one? Is it a mental picutre of yourself lying across the bed scribbling furiously in a secret notebook, or is it the 'Doogie Howser' typing at the screen approach?

My own view: There's an empty room with a single door. Ordinary walls, wooden floors. The door opens, and a chibi-Kyle wanders in, closing the door behind him. I'd show a drawing, but I have no scanner and can't draw, but it's cute.

So, opening the door, walking in, closing it behind me...

So, I had to be up a little early to get some shopping done before I go gaming tonight. Now, the A&P had the stuff for the Chili Dip I needed, and I swear, the most adorable employees who liked to look me in the eye. I'm surprised I didn't turn completely red. :) But yeah, it was nice to see some cute.

And, I went to Target. Honestly? The clothes fit, are in good shape, and nicely priced. And...I just realized I still didn't pick up a new wallet dammit. But, I did pick up a new shirt or two, denim shorts I sorely need, and some work slacks. But, I was browsing, because things are inexpensive there, and I decided to look for something.

See, a few people who's LJs I read have been have been mentioning recent music, either in the journals themselves or in their current music line. Add to that the group being mentioned multiple time this week while I'm online, and recommendations to listen to it. So, since I didn't feel like downloading music, I picked up the Evanescence CD on a whim, and popped it into my car when I left the store.

And damn, I'm impressed. Nice vocals, the lyrics hit chords on my insides, and the music has an edge to it, and I like edge in my music. So, I consider it money well spent. Happy now? ;)

So, I have something to listen to as I drive to the game, and it's all good. As for now, I get to nap beforehand, which should be pretty cool. Not that I'm the most excited about this game, but hey, it happens. :)

Wait- you're AWAKE when you post? I mean... I'm usually lounging in the lab or half asleep at home... with music blaring or just the last somg on the radio.

Target (or Tar-jay, as those of us with pretentious french upbringings pronounce it) is the groovin'est place for clothing. And I say this after having worn only gorgeously obnoxious name brands for about 20 years of my-so-called life. After College, I could no longer sit around and pay 90 dollars for an Abercrombie T-Shirt that I could get at Target for 8 bucks. and, better yet, I am ONE FULL SIZE SMALLER in most Target brands than other places. Especially Express. I curse Express for making women think that they are big and fat.
I don't care about name brands anymore because who else cares about them? And if people do, fuck em. ;) They can come buy me my Armani Exchange Eurotrash goods and I'll wear them, but I'll go to Target any day. And one more thing: Target carries Marvel and DC T-shirts for boys. I'm a size large in Boys. :) So, I get to get a Batman emblazoned Tshirt for 7 bucks that fits and I can wear out instead of the 20 bucks I'd have to spend for an adult size at a comic store. I'm am floating in the awesomeness.

Do not knock target. It rules. :)
