3:22 PM-

Post-lunch, and I'm getting back to work. Monday, took 2 hours personal time to get home and shovel early. But, I ended up leaving 15 minutes after I should have, due to waiting on a call from Inventory about an issue with a customer. So, ye olde boss is letting me have the 15 minutes any other time this week, and I'm taking it today, leaving 15 minutes early. Bliss. Of course, it's been raining steadily all day, but it does save some time, especially if I want to get my comics. I'd save them for Friday, because I'm not gaming, but the forecast says really heavy rains for Friday. Last time I drove through those, I ended up with a new car. Blah.

Besides, rain (at least it's not snow) makes me a little tired. Nothing major, just the constant sound of rain against the windows makes me a little sleepy and restful and calm. (taking notes, [livejournal.com profile] iceraver? Good man. ;) )

...

...

Yeah, feeling real talkative today. :P Little under 2 hours to go. Trying not to yawn while talking to customers, and I save it for my co-workers, instead. ;) I wish I could record some of the conversations, just so folks get an idea. I wonder what it would be like to work with people my own age, sometimes. Or at least some more of them. Like...the stuff I see, or know, and it all feels so alien compared to the conversation around here. It's not getting me down, but I've thought about it.

4:25 PM-

One of the people I work with got some meal from McDonalds for her lunch today, and didn't want the Sprite, so she offered it to me. My usual caffiene push for the afternoon is a Diet Coke, but it was really nice of her to do this, so I decided to spring some chips for a snack. Probably the only other thing I'll eat today besides dinner, and I've been really good on the diet thus far.

Was talking to my boss earlier. He and I get along, and we usually just end up talking about movies. Which reminds me to think about seeing Bulletproof Monk soon. Think it comes out this weekend. But...I was going over my mental list of movies that I am pretty sure are coming out this year.

May 2nd: X-Men 2.
May 16th: Matrix 2.
July: Hulk
July: Terminator 3
July/August: League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
November: Matrix 3
December: Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Now, it's not a complete list, I'm sure. I'm not even certain I have all the release dates correct. But, damn, what a good year for moves if you're a geek. ;) And Return of the King as the crowning Jewel, to boot. (Note: If anyone has anything to add to that schedule, let me know, okay?)

Then again, I heard that a sequel to the Scooby Doo movie was being made. Care to take up a bet with me? I'll put twenty down that it will go straight to video/DVD. Any takers?

Shutting the file down now. Current time: 4:52 PM. 53 minutes left... :D

Wrong Turn

When Scott (Harrington) crashes into a carload of three other young people (Dushku, Sisto, Chriqui), the foursome soon finds themselves lost and trapped in the woods of West Virginia, hunted down by three "cannibalistic mountain men grossly disfigured through generations of in-breeding."

I've seen a few stills for this, I think. They're really talking 'mutant' of a pretty high order :)

"I hear banjos, Bob, do you hear banjos?"

Sept 19
Underworld

Set in the secret nocturnal and supernatural world of vampires and werewolves, two groups that have been at war for centuries, this is the story of a romance between a female vampire warrior, Selene (Beckinsale), who's famous for her strength and werewolf-hunting prowess, and a non-werewolf human, Michael (Speedman), who is being hunted down by the werewolves because he has a unique type of blood that can save their race from extinction...
