Aggggh! Bored bored bored!

It's been a long time since I will admit to having said the 'B' word, but right now, iof time were moving any slower, it would be going backwards. I'm at work, no e-mail, no LJ, no net access or anyone to talk to at the moment, and Gah, it's annoying.

It would bug me less if everyone around me didn't ignore the 'no non-work Internet' rule we're supposed to have in place around here. Hell, other people are doing their e-mails, and checking all their web sites (E-bay especially). The comps are monitored, people. It's why I don't go anywhere outsde of UPS.com on mine, and even that's for work or to track the occasional thing I sent or a package being delivered.

From what I heard yesterday, DC has a new HeroClix set coming out. I saw some of the figs online, and it's not really bad. There's a Troia in this set, which I know made someone very happy. Still no Damage. No Damage, but HAWK gets a figure, as does Fury. Both characters have been dead for all intents and purposes for years, and the idea that they have such figures is annoying the hell out of me.

Oh, and there is a Green Lantern. Raise your hand if you're sick of John Stewart. Stupid frigging cartoon.

On the bright side, they added the founders of the Legion to the set: Rokk, Imra, and Garth. I'm tempted to get those, and build a Legion army from there if they come out with others.

Okay, still bored.

Trying to get an idea of what I need to get done before Saturday, so I can actually sleep in before the game. Or at least try to. I can knock myself out trying to get a chance to not wake up on a given day and think I have to go running around. Of course, I can plan the whole thing, and end up waking up at 8 AM anyway. Man...

Usually, I catch movie news off [livejournal.com profile] lithera's LJ, which is just fascinating to see as it is. But I wonder, sometimes. I've seen movies advertised, and some of them I actually look at and think "Do they really think that's going to succeed?" My fave example is a few from last year: Master of Disguise (which had the most unappealing trailers I have ever seen for a movie, hands down), and Eddie Murphy's "The Adventures of Pluto Nash." Not sure about 'Master,' but I know 'Nash' bombed, big time.

That's something I never understood. I mean, during filming, do the people that work on Bad Movies actually realize it? When they watch the rushes at the end of the day, do they not see what they're doing? Did some of these actors have their families held hostage by the director so they would stay with the film? (It's the only possible justification I can see for Dana Carvey doing 'Master of Disguise,' for example.)

Did Arnold look at the offer for T-3, sans Hamilton and Cameron, and did he not think 'This might be a bad idea...'

And right now, I'm flat-out terrified of even bringing up League of Extraordinary Gentlemen....

That was something I never really understood.

Ha!
