Jul. 13th, 2007 12:43 pmAs for now, it's almost the weekend. The weather so far is a lot less humid than the last few days, and I ended up going home sick yeterday with a serious case of tummy upset. I had some toast, got some rest, adn I feel mostly fine today.
Working 11-8 Monday. Good for the money, bad for the sanity, especially since I go in for 9 the following day.
But the following week, I have Mon-Wed off, since both a doctor's checkup and birtdays are involved.
I'm going out tonight with my friend from high school, straight from work. We haven't decided which big-budget 2+-hour nerdfest(*) we're going to the theater to see. I know he likes the HP movies, but I hated the book this was based on. But, I'm willing to concede just to get some face time, since I haven't seen him since the funeral (he has a 2-year old, and his wife is due next month). Again, it's begging for scraps socially, but what'cha gonna do.
Comics are...comics. :P Good, bad, in between.
For those asking about my icon, see here. I...almost want to see them as a couple, until Icarus comes back to life.
I'm unsure how I feel about the new New Warriors series. It has elements I like (Sofia, at the top), but elements I dislike (if the pacing were any slower we'd be reading it in reverse).
Gen13, Gail Simone's version, rocks the house. This week's issue, #10, just hit it out of the park. So, naturally, I can't find any discussion online about the book. The WS fans focus on books that come out once every six months if at all, instead of focusing on the books that come out on time, every month.
Fables? Holy shit. This was just awesome, this issue. I can't wait to see where this goes.
