Okay, got birthday cards for my brother and sister, sent out this month's bills, showered, almost done with laundry, and it's only about 20 after 10. So I'm feeling pretty good overall for the weekend.

Skipped gaming last night. Stomach ickiness. Turns out the parental units also had the same problems I was, so it was something we ate. Feeling better now. Feeling hungry, actually.

I keep looking at Amazon. Have some money to spend, I get paid this coming week and my bills are already covered. Not sure what. Family Guy or Critic DVDs, some books...gah. And that X-Men RPG for the PS2 comes out soon, which I will cave and get even if a) I don't have friends I'd trust to play with, and b) I'm not done with Disgaea yet...

The "Family Guy" DVDs are worth it. Don't know about The Critic, and I don't have any console game system, let alone a PS2, but it sure gets tempting sometimes (and I don't even know what Disgaea is). I will say if you are a fan of DVD extras, then The Critic might be better. Generally speaking, I like some DVD extras but "Family Guy" comes with very few and most of the commentaries consist of series creator Seth McFarlene with whoever he's chatting with saying very little and giggling a lot at their own show with the occassional rare bit of insight (one episode Stewie had a line where a now-popular Meg walks off that in the show ran, "God, I hate that manish walk of hers"...apparently the original line was "I give her six months until she's pregnant").

Compare that to commentary JMS gives on the Babylon 5 episodes he discusses and it really pales in comparison as JMS seems very organized, and reveals a lot about the creative process and where he got ideas from which actually made me appreciate the series even more.

If you like old Looney Tunes, I'd also recommend that boxed set. Good news for you: though many fans are upset about this, there is no singing frog among the cartoons in the selection. There's hardly any Roadrunners either, but the ones they did include are by and large worth it.

I'm personally resisting the urge to go on a spending spree there for books and DVDs myself, so I may not be the best person to talk to right now. ;)
