At work. Still feeling a little queasy, but I want to see how long I can last here today. I missed three days as it is, and I wanted to at least try, you know?

Through the storms we had, I ended up spending some time with Mom. She was watching this Celebrity Poker show, which I admit I found kind of amusing. It was all for charity, and I dunno...heck, my family always liked card games and such. Also reminds me why I don't gamble much. :)

Did they actually have some real celebrities there or was it like former sitcom actors who got fifth billing and Joan Rivers' daughter?

Well, if you're feeling low, I'll try and cheer you up with stuff that makes you giggle.

"You lie to Hulk!"
"Lie to Hulk!"
"Deceive Hulk!"
"Deceive Hulk!"
"Disenfranchise Hulk!"
"Lie to Hulk!"

One more thing!

"HOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSEEEERRRRR!!!!"

One more thing!

And he smiled and he said
With a twinkle in his eye
"Merry Christmas to all,
Now you're all gonna die!"

One more thing!

Homer: You mean the mob only did me a favor to get something in return? Oh, Fat Tony! I will say 'good day' to you, sir.
Fat Tony: Yes, I will go. (leaves) Hey! Wait a minute!

One more thing!

Remember how surprised I was to find you were arguing with Peter David on the web?

One more thing!

You're not Sylvia! You're Kung Fu Creatures on the Rampage...Two!

One more thing!

I don't know how you'll react to this one. Remember the other Ghostbusters cartoon? The one that wasn't based on the movie, with the two guys and the gorilla with the fedora? Here's a shocker for you: that cartoon was based on a former live-action kids show from the 70s. Filmation gave Columbia the rights to the name for their "Ghostbusters" movie years later but retained the cartoon rights, hence the reason the cartoon based on the Bill Murray movie was called "The Real Ghostbusters".

Actually, it was people who were currently known, on the one I watched. Matthew Perry, Sean Astin (Sam Gamgee), the older kid from that Malcolm show on Fox, the female older leade from that Gilmore show on the WB, and one person on some show I never heard of, all of which were still on the air (Save for Perry, since Friends just ended).

Okay, I remember both shows. The gorilla's name was Tracy, and their main opponent was PrimeEvil. :) I heard rumors it was a live-action show, but I've seen no trace of it.

The live action show was before our time. Back in the 70s or so, the show was about two guys named "Spenser" and "Kong", who on the cartoon were the absent fathers of the two guys that did the job. One of the two was played by F-Troop actor Larry Storch. There was also a guy in a bad gorilla suit playing "Tracy" (Spenser and Tracy, get it?). They apparently went on slapsticky missions which ended up with Tracy exploding a couple times and inevitably losing (and then retreiving) a "dematerializer".
