Afternoon post-planning.

dewingedI know, I know, I'm breaking my own rules by doing LJ reading and stuff at work, even if it is my lunch hour. But, I'm not getting upset, and it's my problem to deal with.
Post-work, I have gaming tonight. And tomorrow, and I might have plans with other friends on Sunday. And it's...eh. I think it's more that I have things I'd rather be doing for the most part, but I'm basically needed. Wanted, I believe, is another story. Feh.
(And darn, all my MU* characters are in good places. Want to write more of their ongoing stories).
But, with my RL gaming, there's going to be some changes coming soon. For tonight's game, Brandon's wife is expecting, due in October. Bran GMs the game, and he's already told us that the game will come to an end once the baby arrives, due to time and all that. I understand that, and it does give me an open Friday to do as I wish, and I haven't decided what exactly to do yet. I'm not up to speed to run a game of my own yet, even if my plots make theirs all look like Afterschool Specials.
Also, the 4th week game...Keough, our GM, has been running a high-powered 2nd Edition game for over a year now with us. High-powered? Ok, it's a Munchkin game, but we have fun, and the fightsd are tough. But, he wants to convert our characters to 3rd Ed. I've looked at the conversaion rules. He does this, and keeps the power levels of his adversaries the same, we're toast. A lot of us lose things in the conversion (My char basically loses his kit, for one, which is what's keeping him surviving, and Eric's Cleric/Mage just gets hosed, level-and-power-wise). I've made 'start over in 3rd ed' rumblings, which a few people have heard. Not sure where it's going yet.
Eh. WIsh I could do other things.
Birthday: 5 days. Mentioned it on the mailing list for a RL game I'm in, and no one really said anything. Some friends.
