dewingedIn talking with Mom, I referred to this article, which I had read earlier.
The discussion went like this:
Mom: Really?
Me: Yeah. Someone's got their ass in a knot because they're saying folks will think all Italians are with the Mob.
Mom: Unbelieveable.
Me: Tell me about it. Why are they bitching? When people think of the Mob, what do they think? "Don't Fuck with those guys!" That's a great thing!
Mom: That's a little much. Why, you want to be with the mob?
Me: I...well, I'm not just a desk jockey during the day. I also run the deal (*1)
Mom: (Sarcastic) Ooooo, riiiight.
Me: Yeah. They call me the Fairy Godfather.
Mom: (laughs) Get out of here, already.
(*1): I'm Not, repeat, NOT with the mob! I was joking! Jeez, no, so not my scene.
