Ok, from the top. I've had two accidents in the last two years that are listed as 'my fault.' As a result, my insurance company dropped me. So I have to look for a new one. And I've been checking.

I'm fucked, plain and simple. My insurance monthly payment, anywhere, is going to be like a second car payment.

Look at progressive. They gave me a very good rate.. I had two accidents listed as "my fault" within 1 year (actually, 5 months), and mine insurance dropped me. Progressive was $5, and the coverage is actually better.

I checked with them. Progressive doesn't do business in New Jersey.

Ooops...that should of read $5 more a month than i was paying before... so.. $155/month

Ack. See, $5K is what I'd be paying per year. After the down payment, it's going to be more than that.
