All right. Normally, I let whatever home-made CD that's in my car stereo play through as I take the 40+ minute drive to work every morning. Music I like, keeps me awake, and no radio station talk. But, today, I was feeling a little bored and at random, I shut off the CD player to tune into the radio and see what I could find.
First station I hit...and I hear classical music. Not only that, good classical music. Good classical music with electronic music/synthesizers/whatever as backup. Now, I've only heard thisd combination once, and to me it only means one thing...
Bond.
Now, for the uninitiated, let me explain who Bond is. Bond is a 4-woman string quartet. 2 out of England, 2 out of Austrailia. And, they do classical music with a lot of techno/electronic tones to it. And I fricking love these women. The music is just plain awesome. They have one album, and some of their better tracks from it are 'Victory,' 'Viva!,' and 'The 1812.' Awesome stuff. You should listen to it. (*hint hint*)
But, the song I had heard on the radio was new to me. See, the station was interviewing them again (I say again because the first time I heard them was on this same morning radio show over a year ago), and they're doing some live show in Times Square tomorrow afternoon (Alas, I have to work, and the weather is predicting bad rain anyway...).
But, see, it's all a plug for their new album. Called 'Shine'
Which comes out today.
Eeeeeeeee! (Inert *squee* and all other kinds of fanboyish noises and bouncing here).
Quoth the Igor: It must be mine!!
