I should find cheery things. Now, I'm not going to discuss all the Emmy nominations that came out today.

I'm just going to hit the things that made me smile.

Best Actress in a Comedy Series: America Ferrara, Ugly Betty How many minutes off the Emmy broadcast could they shave off if they just gave her the statue now? It would save time.

Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series: Vanessa Williams, Ugly Betty. Yay! :D

Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series: Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met Your Mother. Okay, I'm biased, here.

Best Guest Actress in a Series: Judith Light, Ugly Betty, Salma Hayek, Ugly Betty Not expecting Hayek, but Light needs to clear off a spot on the mantlepiece for playing Claire Meade.

Best Comedy Series: Ugly Betty.

Best Dramatic Series: Heroes No way in hell will it win (Sorpranos final season), and I honestly think Friday Nigth Lights should have gotten the nod. But...still *smile*

Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series: Masi Oka, Heroes Won't happen (He's up against Imperioli from Sorpranos this year, and his character got a lot of scenery-chewing in this season), but...still. :)

It's so not the full list. But, hey, it cheered me up a little.

The Heroes inclusion made me smile, even if they gave a serious snub to some other good series. (I mean, seriously... BOSTON LEGAL?!?)

The Best Supporting Actor category hit a couple of my sweet spots, with Masi Oka as well as Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson from Lost. I don't think I could pick a favorite of those three, but you're probably right on Imperioli winning. Ah well. :)

Mmm I dunno rumor has it the ending of the Sopranos might ruin the chances for them this year. But honestly I never hold my breath for the Emmy's... they tend to disappoint.
