Jul. 22nd, 2007 03:51 pmIt's about ten to 4 as I start this. I will be taking yon nap when I'm done, but since I have days off upcoming, it's not an issue.
I edned up falling asleep about 3 AM this morning and was promptly woken up at around 5:30. So, knowing we were going out early, I stayed awake. Dad and I ended up leaving at 8 PM, getting to my brother's at about 25 to 9. Which is a normal travel time, and fast for the summer.
So, we're sitting waiting to go to the marina, in my brother's living room. Taylor, my niece, turns to my dad and says 'We have to go to another party later after Uncle Kyle's party down at the boat.'
You've gotta love kids sometimes.
I was chuckling all the way down to the Marina. Dad at one point said 'I don't like it when you laugh like that; you sound like Uncle Billy.' Me: 'Okay, I'll just use a different evil laugh, then.' And then demonstrated.
So, long story short. A nice long ride on my brother's boat, money in the cards, scratch-off lottery tickets in cards from the kids (from which I won $22), baked ziti, cold fruit drink packets, and icebox cake (For those who don't know, it's a cake that you put in the fridge, alternating layers of chocolate pudding and graham crackers. The Cool Whip...well, it didn't quite survive the trip down. We threw away because nothing on the canister said it was Chunky Style Cool Whip. I believe this was a wise move.)
Oh, and since there's a pool, and I actually bought a bathing suit yesterday, I went swimming for the first time in years. Was fun, and the pool wasn't over-chlorinated.
Anyways, fun. But, I was still up at 5:30. I need a nap!

Date: 2007-07-24 02:03 am (UTC)Eric was brewing up a psion, I _think_. I may be mistaken.
2nd PC. Hmmm. hmmm....
The epic game uses a system to keep 2nd characters within reasonable approximations of the primaries; I think the unused characters gain half the experience they would have (by level) if they'd been the active PC. In the unusual event both characters are fielded, they each earn 75% of what they normally would have.
There's other methods too, of course.
