I won't comment on American Idol. Even if ti didn't turn out the way it should have, there is balance. There will be a CD, and I will get it if I feel like it when it hits the shelves. In a way, both won, so I'm all right with it.

I've been writing all week. Just taking anything and everything and throwing it out onto a Word document. And, I've been hitting a creative push/spark, which I'm trying to channel as best I can before another blockage comes.

Example: One of my local GMs is starting another D&D 3rd Ed game come July. I would like to be in it, and I am trusted. I decided on a Cleric this time, and we're starting at 1st level. My GM says this: Hey, if you can give me 1,000-1,500 words for a character bio, I'll hand out 500 XP, and some extra gold.

Now, this is me he asks it of. Silly GM.

I finished the 1st level Cleric bio yesterday. FInal Word count: 4,810.

Mua ha ha ah ha ha!

I had a cleric in my friend's game a few weeks ago. He was doing well, but then died to a blue dragon. *sigh* Oh well, hope your cleric meets a better end :)

Go Bama Idol! I was surprised, as well, since there was all the talk saying that they wouldn't sign a black guy. However, if the article in Salon is true, Clay might be getting the better part of the deal. He still has had tremendous exposure, and will probably come out of this a winner. The contract signed by the winner is... particularly onerous. In effect, if said article is true, you sign away, for life, your likeness and your voice for them to do with, literally, whatever they want.
