Noonish, and waking up an hour early today by accident has its drawbacks, in that I really would rather be in bed at the moment. I'm rested, since...well, okay, not as much as I'd like, but I'm a touch headachey, and that is never a good thing. Especially with the phones ringing. Especially since it looks like it will not stop any time soon.

I was trying to seek out something new to read this morning. Oddly, I can even look authors I used to read, and find nothing new (the scary thing is that some authors I purely adore have almost no presence or following on the Net. I think I was the only one who ever read Tom Deitz) or something new that isn't what I want. And I've been on a 'not getting attached' kick lately, with reading. I read comics: it's like if I even think I like a book, it gets cancelled on me. It's depressing.

Still headachey.

Roth rings a bell somewhere, but I'm not sure if I've read any of his stuff.

The Stupidest Angel? It is an offshot of Lamb?

I don't think so, though Moore does seem to set everything in the same sort of universe. Roth is one of the great American novelists of our time. The one I am reading, Portnoy's Complaint is a rant from a successful Jewish guy holding himself up as better than everyone else and bitching about his parents to a psychiatrist. It's a comedy, and the narrator is a very vivid character.
